College / University / On Campus Recruiting
What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?:
In the phone call with the principal, the questions were all behavioral but some did catch me off guard:
1. What were your low and high points in high school?
2. Same as above but for college.
3. If I were to go into a meeting with the investing team and I had to tell them why we should hire you in a 1 minute pitch, what should I say? (essentially your elevator pitch.)
4. What are you exceptional at outside of academics (and afterwards, not exceptional at, and how are you working to improve that)?

Overall, how would you describe your interview experience?:
Neutral
Please describe the interview / hiring process.:
First had a 30min phone call with someone from the talent team. More of an informational chat than an actual interview, if anything. Told me about the company & asked why I was interested in Alpine, PE, etc. Basic questions. Afterwards, was scheduled for another 30min phone call with one of their principals - this call was more intense and more of the principal just firing questions one after the other.

How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?:
For my low points for both high school and college, I mentioned something in freshman year where I was still trying to adjust to the new environment, etc. For my high point in high school, mentioned something about how I fundraised quite a sum of money for an organization I really cared about.
I messed up the 1 minute pitch question, but it should be simple if you're prepared for it.
For the 4th question, I mentioned something related to one of my extracurriculars that I'm exceptional at (that wasn't obvious from my resume).
